Has anyone else ever eaten at one of chef Emeril Lagasse's restaurants?
When we were married we ate at his place at the MGM Grand and we're going back this December for a Pharmacy convention and are eating here:

All I have to say, is it was the single best meal either of us had ever eaten. And I don't know why! Yes it was expensive, but the stuff was perfectly cooked, fresh, and just the right ingredients were used.

I have eaten there also. While I thought it was good, I don't remember being overly impressed. Do you remember what you had?
I was married at the Flamingo Hilton.

We had a smoked Alaskan salmon on a bed of tiny fried potato's with a very light drizzling of BBQ sauce over it.
I can't even tell you what wine we had with it, but it was paired exactly right. In fact, they have a huge list of wine awards.
Our appetizer was a plate of BBQ shrimp with a tiny roll. It was small but delicious.
(The next time we went to Vegas we ate at Bobby Flay's place at Caesars. That was good as well and not quite as pricey.)

I was married at the Flamingo Hilton.
I'm trying to visualize the layout. The only Hilton I can picture is the one just East of the strip about one block and has the Star Trek Experience rides/bar/restaurant.
Was this just South of the MGM?

I wouldn't say it's "just" south of the MGM. We stayed at the Mirage which is across the street. The Flamino Hilton is by the Imperial Palace and another "older" hotel. We did a Wolfgang Puck at (I think) Casears. Wasn't impressed. However, I'm very picky. We are only 3.5 hours from Vegas so I've been there lots....mostly to eat!

I can't remember what entree I had, but we had one of the tartare's for an appetizer. I don't have a good memory of the tartare:(

You guys don't drink wine and eat at Casino's anymore since you have the Holy Ghost right?

And yes, we have enjoyed a number of recreational activities at various casino's...... We're still trying to wrap our brains around "Craps", the dice game. We tell people that our decision to get married at the MGM Grand was the best thing we could have done and as we watch other weddings come and go, we are even more convinced. We paid about 1500 TOTAL (chapel, airplane tickets, and 5 nights in the room) which combined a very nice wedding AND honeymoon (and Lance Burton!) in one. Others have spent a couple times what we did and end up with a simple small church wedding with a potluck in the church basement. We have something to really remember.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ60x85z_8Y <----Wedding (and honeymoon) pictures. We were ORIGINALLY going to elope but we ended up telling everyone and about 20 flied down with us. Note: As soon as you see the pig on the grill, that is three months later at our outdoor reception for all the people who couldn't make it. Our reception after our wedding was at the Rainforest Cafe, also at the Grand.
And speaking only for myself I have made it no secret that I consider the consumption of alcohol in a absolute sense, wrong. I good dry Merlot can really, to quote Emeril, "kick it up another notch!"

Brother Randy,
How long have you had the Holy Ghost?

Since I was 12. Why?
"Or do I have to ask?" -He said with the certainty equal to that of buying an expensive gift only to see it go for half off the day after Christmas.

Right now it is Crossroads Apostolic Bible Fellowship in Mosinee, WI -which is hard because it is two hours North of us. We were going to my wifes until things got really weird there..........
Within a few short months we will be church hunting in the Phoenix (AZ) Valley area.
