Oneness and Trinitarians both will agree with you. The not so simple thing is explaining how Jesus has always existed, as the second person in the Trinity or as the one God who is absolutely one self.

The OT is straight forward with YHWH speaking of himself in singular pronouns. The NT becomes more complicated with YHWH as a man praying to God the Father. In trying to find an explanation of the words of Jesus, many Christologies have been developed including the doctrine of the Trinity and Oneness. Trinitarians find the basis of their doctrine in the NT and then go back to the OT to try to find their doctrine hidden in its passages and twist the meanings of the words used for God, Elohim and Echad to support their beliefs. They hold to a progressive revelation of God not just in knowing his will, his attributes, but in knowing Him in particular. According to Trinitarians the Jews really did not know who God was because the teaching of the Trinity is not in the OT. Moses did not know God in Trinity, nor did Elijah, nor David, etc. They did not worship a Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Yet Jesus tells us in John 4:22 that the Jews knew what they worshipped. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

As Oneness believers we know what we worship as well. The God of Abraham, a friend of God who knew what he worshipped, became man or took on flesh and blood. In the flesh, God became like unto us in all things. It was not a person of the Trinity or a third of the whole of God that came to die for our sins, but all the fullness of the one God himself. God was manifest in the flesh...

DD,

On second thought, the truth is simple. Jesus is God. He has always existed and then came to save us because He looked and there was noone to fill the breach. Simple.:)
