The Passover is coming soon, and I thought I would ask about those churches out there that are celebrating:
Do you celebrate it at Easter or Passover?
Do you use wine?
Do you accompany it with footwashing as at the Lord's Supper?

We have foot washing and communion at least twice a year.
Foot Washing Service ;
The men wash feet in the sanctuary.
* procedure -
# 1 - All men, except one, are seated on the pew and remove their shoes and socks.
# 2 - The Man Left Standing {a starter} Girds Himself {wraps an extra extra long towel around his waist with a long part of the towel hanging down to dry with}.
# 3 - He then kneels and washes the first sitting Brother's feet while he prays blessings upon him.
# 4 - When he is finished washing the Brothers feet He takes off the towel and gives it to him.
# 5 - Then he sits down at the end of the pew.
# 6 - Now the second man begins to wash the next Brother's feet
When all are finished they all stand and embrace
{ for large groups use a starter for eack pew}
The women in the fellowship hall.
{ Women use the same procedure as the men}
{question}
Do the women keep their hosiery on when they wash their feet?
YES , - ONLY IF they keep them on when they take baths and wash their feet at home.
Communion;
-> USE ONLY <-
Wine
un-leavened bread

My church does not celebrate the Passover. I do because of growing up in a Jewish home. (most,if not all my bro. and sis. in the church have no idea my Mother is Jewish).
I find that celebrating Jewish feasts and festivals fun along with the Christian holidays. I don't beleive it is necessary to salvation to be bound by observing or celebrating any special day now that I am free in Christ.
I only do it because I enjoy it.

We celebrate the Lords Passover not the Jewish Passover.In fact we are getting ready to do such soon.Heres what we do.
1.We map out 40 days before and fast and pray in unity.
2.We make the unleaven bread.
3.We set long tables with small disposable plates and wine glasses.
4.We use grape juice as many of our members are former alkies and one taste can bring back a whole lot of memories.The word says make no provision for the flesh and we take that litterally and personal.Maybe some could have wine but we in our particular area are unable to do so.
5.We all are seated at tables and read about the Lords Passover and focus on all that occurred at that time.
6.We all share how God brought personal deliverance in our lives through his supreme sacrifice.
7.The focus is Jesus and calvary and what that means to us.
8.During this time and our 40 day fast we practice a spiritual application of what the Jews did when they got all the leaven out.We search our hearts and put away the works of the flesh and the devil.We weep,fast,pray,mourn and repent.
9.We gather in two separate groups and wash one anothers feet.
10.This is the time when we reflect on Jesus's death and burial.
11.The following service we have a Resurrection service where we focus on our new life in Jesus Christ.It helps those who were formaly RC or another christian based faith to come to truth.
I also want to share that we will be doing this for the third time this passover.None of the churches we have ever been to have done what we are doing.The saints tell us it really feels like communion to them.They also say that since they have been doing this that they learn more about what real communion is.

April 18th
Yes
Yes
We follow the same procedure as Bishop1
The brothers and sisters seperate for foolwashing and come together for communion.
I want to add that the brother or sister whose feet you wash becones your prayer partner for the year. You pray blessing on that person as you wash their feet, you pray for their families and health.
WE also have secret pals where names are pulled and we may at any given time bless someone with a card, poem, bookmark, or something just to say we love you and hope your having a blessed day.

The Lord's Supper is the Passover. I did not mean at all that we are bound to Jewish feasts. It is for a memorial. Jesus said, keep this in remembrance. We are to remember what happened when we came out of Egypt. And for the Lord's Supper we are to remember the body and the blood of the Lamb that was slain for us. For the supper of the Lamb is to remind us that we were set free.
