A lot of assumptions. It assumes the girls all have two legs.

What is one of the girls is an amputee?

It never actually states that the backpacks full of cats are on the bus. It only implies it. I could interpret it as the backpacks are on the ground outside the bus. As for the big cats, we know they are in the backpacks,

But the little cats? Their location is never givin. It can be interpreted that they are not only on the bus but scattered about town.

Especially since a driver isn't mentioned, this implies the bus is not actually going anywhere.

So, are all the backpacks in the luggage rack on top of the bus? That's quite a few backpacks for the girls to carry on board the bus. I noticed it says some are ON and some are IN the bus.
