Almost forgot to post this...
Sister Ravisa (the wife of the gentleman I go to the SMART program with) has been 'plagued' by sickness ever since I've known her. She's had problems with her back and legs for a long time. She's had surgery after surgery and been on pain meds to help her cope. She walked with a cane, although limping in pain would be a better way to describe how she moved.
We've prayed as a church, and individuals for her repeatedly.
Finally... the morning of Sunday, August 31st, the Holy Ghost manifested Himself in such a sweet and beautiful way in our midst.
At the end of the service, we all gathered around the altar as we usually do and Tom, Kathy's husband, had finally had enough of the pain and anguish she has gone through. He said to her "The Holy Ghost says you are healed and that's that." He took her cane away and she started shouting and praising God. She began to dance and jump up and down. She's not used the cane since that morning. Tom left it hanging from the pulpit for all (including the enemy) to see that God is still in the healing business.
