So what sort of equipment do you use on yours?

My primary camera body is a Canon 60D with the cheap kit lens but my main work horse is the 50mm 1.4F

.....of yes, and Photoshop CS5. :)

My camera is an Olympus E 620.
Several lenses, 600mm, 22mm wide angle, a 42mm and 300mm, the last two came with the camera when I bought it.

I am not using photoshop, I use Iphoto, but not very much.
I usually only crop my photos and that's it.
Sometimes I use some special effects done through Flickr.

Fraser River in Central British Columbia:

A couple of weeks ago I made this one near Kamloops, BC:

Those look really nice! Are you using any filters on your lenses? It looks like there is something at work.

This is one that I took with an old Pentax point and shoot (that I paid a fortune for at the time!). Did a little creative processing with photoshop and a plug in called Phototools from onOne.

They are excellent for a phone and can compete with some of the cheaper point-and-shoots, but nothing can beat a good D-SLR. :)

I know, but for the photography I do now, it will do ok. At some point I will get a D-SLR. The day I have an extra couple of grand to toss around. Unfortunately... that isn't today.

I did buy my daughter a higher end p&s for xmas last... Nikon Coolpix P100 If I get a photo bug I'll borrow that.

600mm Olympus lens.
I made this shot through an open window in our truck.

Yes, it was a long haul.
Over 16.000 km total distance travelled.
We also drove to Cape Breton Island.
Through Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
......and back to British Columbia. Total 56 days.

I have a telescope that has an adaptor that allows for a camera to be attached to it. Im not a camera buff so I dont really know how that works. From the directions it looks like it snaps on where you would normally put different lenses ? Always wanted to try it , but like I said, its not enough of an interest for me to fork over the funds.

Loving the pictures on the thread though. Keepem comin.

L'n'J you have mentioned in the past you have ten children, until this pic it didn't sink in. I have one daughter of whom I occasionally refer to as being fortunate to have survived to maturity. Seriously, You and your husband have all the respect and honor I can give. I couldn't do that, I barely did a tenth that.

So have you been getting a lot of rain there John?

It had rained some before I got there and a heavy thunderstorm while I was there. Back in (not so wild) CT now. When I was in Ft. Worth for the trade show the sales guy I worked with lives in Phoenix next to South Mountain park. That looks like good hiking.

These were all taken with my new Sony DSC-HX100V. I love it. Next year I will probably go DSLR though.

That is the exact camera my wife uses. She loves it and the zoom is really impressive (35x). The lens I mostly use is a 17-40mm which is very wide angle all the way to only slightly more telephoto than what the eye sees naturally. So basically next to no zoom. But it takes GREAT pics!

With all the rain we've had, our small pond beside our house is filled to capacity.
