I WOULD LIKE PRAYER THAT I'LL BE ABLE TO HEAR FROM GOD...I HAVE BEEN A VERY REBELLIOUS AND STRONGWILLED PERSON AND SOMETIMES WHAT I WANT AND WHAT GOD WANTS ARE VERY DIFFERENT AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE...I DON'T WANT TO BE OUT OF HIS WILL EVER AGAIN...HE'S BEEN TOO GOOD TO ME AND I JUST WANT TO PLEASE HIM AND LET HIM DIRECT MY PATH...SO PLEASE, PRAY THAT I WILL KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIS VOICE AND MY FLESH. THANKS!

Many people don't have a problem with knowing what GOD wants, its just giving up self! Self is always wanting its way. I spent most of my life living by my own rules, I was strong-willed feeling it was my survival instinct...and it pretty near was.
Humankind, in general, thinks it has it all figured out! :grumble: Society reeks of self-agrandizement.
But since our ways are not GOD's way, it behooves us to do as HE says. HE is the only one who is omniscient and omnipotent, I'm sure not. How else can HIS will, HIS plans/blessings for us be manifested if we keep 'pulling the plug'??
Satan has a heyday with so many of us silly :banana: humans.
Fast/pray, if possible, for more for direction from HIM, that always helps! Others here have lots of info you should read some of the related threads here, and many before in the past (archives) several weeks/months.

THANKS FOR RESPONDING...AND FOR PRAYING...I PRAY DAILY AND LOVE THE WORD...I JUST HAVE SPENT YEARS THINKING I HAD TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING AND SO IT'S DIFFICULT FOR ME TO KNOW WHO'S SAYING WHAT...I DON'T UNDERSTAND MUCH ABOUT COMPUTERS OR EVEN THE LINGO ON THIS SITE...WHAT IS A POST AND WHAT IS A THREAD...IT MAY SOUND STUPID TO YOU AND IT MAY VERY WELL BE STUPID BUT I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW THIS SITE WORKS...I'VE ONLY HAD MY WONDERFUL DELL FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE VENTURED OUT INTO ANY KIND OF CHAT ROOM...THE ONLY REASON I'VE DONE THIS IS BECAUSE I KNOW SISTER AVILAR (?) AND I KNOW THAT SHE OFTEN WRITES ON THIS SITE...SHE COMES TO OUR CHURCH ON OCCASION AND I KNOW THAT SHE'S TRUE HOLINESS...MY REAL INTEREST IS JESUS AND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO LIVE OBEDIENT TO HIS WORD...OTHERWISE, I WOULDN'T BE DOING THIS...I'VE ALWAYS BELIEVED THE INTERNET WAS THE DEVIL'S PLAYGOUND AND I REALLY STILL BELIEVE THAT...SO I'M VERY CONCERNED THAT I GET INTO THE WRONG THING...I'M A BABY IN CHRIST...ONLY MET HIM EIGHT YEARS AGO...HAVE ONLY BEEN WALKING WITH HIM AND LIVING BY HIM FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS...I LIVE LONG AND HARD FOR THE DEVIL AND DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING TO OPEN THE DOOR TO HIM AGAIN...I TRY TO STAY PRAYED UP AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST...I AM JUST SO BLESSED...HE'S SO GOOD TO ME AND TO ALL OF US...EVEN THOSE WHO ARE REBELLIOUS AND DISOBEDIENT...WHAT A GOD WE SERVE! There are many Brothers and Sisters here also that love Truth.
It is good that you are cautious as the Word says to Try the spirits to see if they be of God.

We will be praying for you and that you mature until you are able to encourage others also.

We can use anything in this world to for the devil if we choose but we can also take it out of his hands and use it to God's glory.

All you need to do to die to your will is fast and pray and dedicate as the Lord speaks to your heart.It first has to happen in your heart.Rebellion is a condition of the heart.Its when self exalts above Jesus Christ.When we are in rebellion its not against man but against Jesus.Our flesh rises up and wants to lead its own way.This is the sin of Idolatry.And much time and effort is lost through vanity that could be spent in other areas.If you dig in the word of the Lord and prayer and dedicate you are taking authority over self and making self comply.But holding yourself back from what it wants to do is only a temporary measure.What you honestly need is change in your heart.Ask the Lord and he will give you exactly what you need.You will never find it in your own strength.You need the grace of God to rule in your heart and mind so that the peace of God can permeate your soul.lv sis.c
