I keep a book of rememberance. It is so awesome.Whenever the Lord does something really significant in my life I write it down. Then later if I get discouraged I go and read these accounts and it encourages me.lv sis.c

I have a couple of journals, one personal, one for prayer and one I use for inspirations I get from God for my writings/messages whatever you want to call them. From this one, some day I hope to publish an article or even write a book! (Hey you gotta have goals!) I'm curious though about the online idea. I type much faster than I write (dont we all?) So the idea appeals to me. I do like my journals though, because their pretty and I keep them in my prayer basket with my Bible & tissues etc.. and it is portable and looks pretty sitting out. So how do you go about Online journaling ? Are you using microsoft word and what is a "blog" ?

I used to keep a personal journal and I wrote everything that happened to me in it. I wrote good and bad things in it. I would look back, see the bad things and get discouraged. I am just not interested in looking back at things like that. That is just my personal opinion.

When my aunt died in June, I wrote my feelings down about that. I didn't know how to express myself and I didn't want to cry all the time. I also wrote one letter to her, which I know is weird, to tell her how I felt about loosing her. It really did help a lot.

I just don't do it on a regular basis. That is just me.

I have also kept a journal for many years. I'm not always real consistant with it but I always try to write down things that I'll want to remember, scriptures and thoughts God has given me. I like to remember things going on in my family and in the lives of my closest friends and how God worked in those situations. Some things I don't ever want to forget so will read back through them at times when I need encouraged.

This has been a rough year though so I've had a hard time writing as often but I make myself every few months because I know I will look back someday and see God working through this trial.

I also keep a 'scripture' journal with all my favorite scriptures and dates that God has given me at different times when I needed them.

God gave me a dream this year, that was a first for me since getting saved 20 years ago. :)

I also record when God give me a dream.I do not think I would like my journal to be online like the sis above though.I mean I was able to get on her sight and read her journal. That is not for me.People on the net take your private thoughts and make them ugly even when you do not mean it that way.lv sis.c

Wow, I agree I wouldnt want my private thoughts online. I may try the other option with wordpad, or just keep my pretty journals going. ;)

I agree, I wouldn't want to have my journal online. However the thought of typing would be great instead of writing.

My husband had surgery in July and he kept a daily journal for a few weeks on his laptop which is nice. I could use that I guess but I like my 'pretty' journals also. (must be a girl thing!) Plus one of my best friends/prayer & fasting partner bought me one once which is filled now. It meant so much to me to write in it all the time.

Milady,
Your web is way cool! Very Pretty! I just like to write what I'm feeling at the time and sometimes its personal or if i have had a disagreement with my hubby :realmad: (imagine that!) it helps me defuse! A web probably wouldnt be the best place for it.

How did you learn to do your web? Is it pretty complicated? I would love to do something like that with current pics posted etc.
For family and friends we dont get to keep in contact with too much.

I made mine in notepad and uploaded it to Geocities advanced builder. But,
I have been doing websites for 5 years now.I read a lot of html books and online help. But you can build a simple website with geocities page builder, that looks just as good. All you do with page builder is go in your files and click on what you want and it puts it up there for you. It is all done online. It is failry easy to use.
