A Request to ALL here at the Cafe

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Ladies and Gentlemen; Brothers and Sister; Bro. Atkinson and Admin,

I have a request for all. I noticed that being "unlogged" or "unregistered" here at the Cafe, just to browse, there is a forum for anyone who stumbles across this site entitled, "Biblical Salvation and Fundamental Apostolic Doctrine" which has 3 sub-forums/categories: "Believing and Being Born Again", "The Godhead", and "Holiness" (and the holiness being Biblical holiness).

My request is this, (and please forgive me if I'm overstepping my bounds here, Bro. Atkinson, or if I'm out of line, or in error for my request): Since this section is open to anyone to just come and browse, could we not debate our differences out there; it would kind of be like airing out dirty laundry for all to see. IMHO, those of us who are good orators, writes, and Bible study teachers, we should use that area to post evangelistic, reaching the lost type of Bible studies; like, what is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or what is true Repentance, or why Jesus name Baptism is essential. We should make defensible arguments with Scripture to back it up and not just dogmatic assertions just to be "mouthy".

I see that area as an OPPORTUNITY to be a witness out here in cyber-space; to be able to share the Gospel to the lost.

Bro. Atkinson, if I am in error here, feel free to delete this post/thread and forgive me for overstepping my bounds.

It was posted on the old cafe by Bro. John that area is the only one that can be read by someone unregistered. It is to be a unified front of our "best" for them to read. If I am not mistaken, everything posted there has to be cleared by Admin or moderators first.

So I guess Bro. John could answer better than I, but yea dude, your on the right track with your thinkin' !! :cool:

Because of the way that we can't seem to agree on anything in here, only admins/moderators are allowed to start threads there. And all replies and posts into threads have to be admin/moderator approved before they show up.

We will be sticking some stuff out there, but that forum is for GNC staff to use as outreach, not as a discussion forum for the GNC membership.

I have long been troubled and several times considered recommending closing the GNC because of the debates that go on in here being visible to the outside. Because at times we in here aren't even vaguely close to the biblical mandate given by the Lord himself:

John 13:34-35
(34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
(35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

This will be a fundamental Apostolic Doctrine Forum geared toward outreach. It will be the only forum on the GNC which will be publically veiwable to unregistered visitors, or members who are not logged in.

Unregistered visitors MAY NOT post there. Registered members MAY post there, but every post MUST be approved by a moderator before it is visible in the threads.

The reason is that this forum WILL present a unified front to the public, no debating will be allowed in this. It is solely for outreach
