Please help me pray about something. My husband's been recovering from brain surgery since July.

We are self employed and it has become such a weight to me right now. We've been in business for 14 years and God has blessed us beyond anything we ever expected. We always have tried to bless our church with our income from the business. I wrestle with thoughts of selling the business and have asked God over the last 4 years if it would be His will or not and never really get any direction. I've always been taught when you don't know for sure, stand still.

This is such a BIG decision for us. My kids work there and it is our only income, but if we got the right price we could do it and work for the church or whatever God would want us to do. And maybe I'm just weary with Doug being sick and struggling with everything right now. The last 4 years have been a big struggle and I'm just ready for something to happen one way or another.

When I first even thought of selling and started praying about it about 4 years ago our business was nominated and won the Small Business of the Year award from our local chamber. We had been going through so much at that time and had so many questions that it seemed like the Lord allowed us to win that award as confirmation we were doing what He wanted.

Now I'm asking again for direction and answers.

Rememer my husband also, that he will have a complete recovery and restored to good health.

Thank you for your prayers and God Bless all

Wow, you do have a heavy load to carry, but remember who's right there to carry it for you.
If you want a personal opinion, I can give it..but in the long run, its HIS direction you need, and WILL receive..when HE is ready to let you know. Patience, patience..right now!
Its a tough call, I know. How can you be sure its your perception or HIS will? A dilemna for many of us, when pondering such life-affecting decisions.

You had the right idea in mind of when in doubt, sit still. GOD's advice has always been .."be still and know that I am GOD"..evidently its getting to be too much of a struggle, you're growing restless - that is understandable.

BTW, congratulations for that business award! Your business is surely much bigger than our small business, in fact, it tiny! Just me and hubby for now. I know that we could make more money, it just has not been a priority for us, even though we could use it.

We struggle, but that is more opportunity for GOD to show HIS faithfulness by providing! Just in the nick of time. We've not gone without.
I will continue to pray for you, for strength and direction, hang in there. Your husband's health will improve, GOD IS FAITHFUL!

Sister,
No one but you can make that decision.I pray that the Lord would touch your husband and give him a complete recovery. If he were whole would you close the business? If not then pray for a complete recovery. We are also in business and I know it is a trial all the way to the bank.lv sis.c

Sis C
If he was whole, no I wouldn't be so stressed out for we would be caring the burden together and probably wouldn't be thinking as much about getting out from under the weight. I know God allows these things in our lives for us to g r o w through them. It has been such a trial. Somedays it's so hard to keep going, but I have to :). I know it is a time of drawing closer and learning to lean on Him for everything.

I'm so thankful we go to church that teaches FAITH!!!

I need His strength and grace new each day.

God Bless

Please keep praying for my husband. He's still has some problems with dizzyness and can't work yet. We are getting very weary with the weight of this affliction in our lives. I believe in prayer and know it makes the difference.

thank you prayer warriors, God bless you

You mentioned his brain surgery was in July. That's really not that long ago. It's been hard for you and that makes it feels much longer.

Thank God you have your children's support. That should give you some peace of mind.

You've had this business for 14 years. That's a big investment.

Let's agree with DDC101 and ask the Lord for a complete healing for Doug.

Amen a complete healing.

We feel God has shown us several times over the past few years that He was going to heal Doug. Honestly I never expected him to have to go through the surgery. I just knew God was going to do a miracle. But earlier this year he started having problems so surgery got scheduled and now God showed me He has His own plans for us.

Doug and our pastor Bro Baxter said they felt a host of angles in the hallway as they wheeled him into surgery. Doug said he felt such a peace right then.

His ways are not our ways, His thoughts not our thoughts.
