Happy Feb.1st.I spent the last day of January organizing my closets and dressers and throwing things out. Some of these things I am keeping for the spring bazaar and rumage sale that we are planning.I live such a hurried lifestyle that sometimes things pile up and I have to go and sort through them. But boy I hate looking at the mess until I get it done.Do you spring clean? I am not so organized but Jesus is helping me.Today decided to go and buy little things that would make my life easier in the long run.One of the things I purchased was those hangers for ties that hold belts also for my husbands closet.Plus those hangers that clip on several skirts.I also found a pants hanger that will give my husband more room in his closet space.I look for little things lately that will make my life less complicated.Look out next week its on to the kitchen space.Ouch! Got any hints? lv sis.c

Amen!!!!! Here in New Zealand we are tailing off with our Summer. This post has nothing to do with "space saving ideas" but rather a thank you. Thank you for this confirmation. Two days ago, I preached in a Trinitarian church.....part of my message was "Get ruthless!!!!!! We keep our homes clean! We need to keep this Temple of the Holy Ghost clean. We have Spring cleaning and clean out our closets and cupboards at home and we need to do it to this house of the Spirit. Don't keep bitterness in a drawer.....just in case Aunt Gussy offends me again"
Sort of like keeping stuff we never use....but might ......one day!!!!!
Well...........................:D
Some of those heads in the congregation were saying NO! We don't throw anything out.
Ps. I'm sure that was true!
Lord Bless

spring- what's that- it's just above freezing, it snowed several inches the day before, and it's been raining since yesterday, everything is a pile of slush that will freeze solid sooner or later-:yeah: Well I should complain, I just moved from the NorthWest where you just don't see the sun at all for months on end, if that's not dismal I don't know what is-

Kitchen organization hints-
I put all my flour in long flat rectangular tupperware-type containers, they stack, and it's easy to measure flour. They are big ones that hold several gallons worth of space, at least 10 pounds of flour, more I think. Get a good spice rack and put all the spices in it, not next to the stove and preferably out of the light. Put all the cans together, all the baking things together, all the boxes together that aren't baking things. Go to Walmart and buy a bunch of those disposable "tupperware" type containers, dozens. Try and get them in two sizes, same brand, big and small. Put all the odd things that aren't packaged in slim boxes in these containers, and mark what they are on the top and side with magic marker. Get wire corner shelves for the inside of your cupboards, get creative with those little wire shelves. Check out those cool gadgets you can get that hang over your door for storing boxes & cans, and for storing cans & stuff in the cupboards. Hang coffee cups underneath the cupboards if there's room, and hang your pots and pans from somewhere if possible. Get a little standing file rack and files, label them, for all the papers that seem to collect in the kitchen- a file for each person in the house, a file for recipes you'll recopy or file away correctly later, etc. Have a really big junk drawer (I do!!)
