Last Thursday Herman almost had two seizures. Both times he took one topamax pill and the seizures stopped before he really fell away. I had warned the neighbour and she stayed with us until Herman felt better. The first time was at half past five in the afternoon and the second time fifteen minutes after midnight. We already were under a lot of stress and this has made it even worse. We have been to my parents this weekend just because we needed a break. Herman went back home on Sunday and I have come home on Tuesday, because I have visited Everdine on Monday evening and it was saver to travel back in the morning. Herman is feeling well and has not had anymore dizziness and other things he usually has before and after seizures. But I am not well. Not only because of the seizures. They were just the last drop that made the bucket run over. Please pray for peace and rest and for wisdom when we go to the neurologist. We still have to make an appointment and I will let you know the date and the hour, so you can pray for us. He has been relapsing since November 2002 and was seizure free since June 2003. He is on Depakine and Topamax. These are the most commonly prescribed anti-epileptic medicines here.

Thank you for your prayers,

Mirjam

I too will be praying for Heman. I can completely relate to what you are going through. My husband also fights seizure feelings. He's had a total of 3 full seizures in the past 4 yrs. They are so hard on a person. God is the Healer and it is His will to heal. Thank you Jesus. Keep believing and you will receive! We are overcomers throught Jesus Christ!

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." We have overcoming power against anything that comes against us! Someone said "we do not deny the problem or circumstance exists, we do however deny the problem the right to stay! Faith in God is victory all the time!

God Bless

Now you're talking. Amen. Increase our faith, O Lord, in Jesus' name.

I have called the epilepsy centre and the doctor will call us back next week Tuesday when he has his telephone consulting hour. Herman is doing alright and so am I. I no longer have the fatique I had last week. I pay close attention to Herman, especially at night. This is the first time in years he has had seizures on week days.
Thank you for your prayers,

Mirjam

The neurologist has called us Thursday morning and Herman, who was at home because he has to prepare for his archive course of Friday, explained what happened two weeks ago. The doctor said it was not nescessary to make another appointment than we already had and that we just had to keep an eye on things. Herman is allowed to take a topamax pill when he is about to get a seizure, but has to be careful not to overdose himself.
Thank you for your prayers and God bless,

Mirjam

Sister,
I had seizures for until I was 5 years old and God took it all away when my Dad had faith to trust him and take me off of the medicine that was making my teeth rotten back then. It'll be okay, just pray.
