I believe that in order for us to be save we have to obey Acts 2:38! We have to turn away from our sins (repent). We have the opportunity and the blessing to go under the waters of baptism in the lovely and glorious Name of Jesus, HALLELLUUUUJAH! PRAISE GOD!

Way back in '87 in Austin Texas, when dear Bro Robert Condrey spoke that name, the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved over me as I went down in the water. I knew that I had found the way! THE ONLY WAY!

When I recieved the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues it changed me, it took a dope smoking, beer drinking, womanizing sinner and changed me.

Then straight and sure One God Apostolic Holiness or Hell preaching that was without fear, favour or swelling speech kept me, taught me, brought me to this point where 16 years later I might be able to be here as an unprofitable servent.

I thank God for the revelation of Jesus Christ. I thank God for preachers who loved my soul enough to get in my face and say, "you better line up Boy, or you're gonna split hell."

I rejoice in the word of the Lord, I rejoice in the love of God. I rejoice that there are people who don't see this way are being won to the Truth.

Praise God!

HOW plain it is: no other NT scripture tells you HOW to remit sin except Acts 2:38. REMISSION is found only in full obedience to Acts 2:38! Any partial obedience is just that.....PARTIAL and therefore INCOMPLETE and void of salvation power!

MAYBE some people need to understand what the word "remission" means? hmmm...
Good idea for a book or pamplet title, to circulate in the trini circles!
Remember, MY idea!:D
Think I'll "sleep" on it, GOODNIGHT ALL!

P.S. XERF? actually being SERIOUS! I must be asleep already, for surely I'm dreamin! :D :D

Remission = Aphesis which = several different meanings in our language according to the dictionary.

The first word in Strongs for this phrase is freedom, which lines up with what Jesus said about baptism in Mt. 3:15, which is so righteousness can begin. Because righteousness cannot begin totally until your old man is dead and buried. Which is what Romans chapter 6 tells us takes place then.

The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia
REMISSION OF SINS

Remission is exemption from the consequences of an offense, forgiveness; Sins are remitted when the offender is treated as though the offense had never been committed. Remission is restricted to the penalty, while forgiveness refers more particularly to the person, although it may be used also of the sin itself. Remission also is used of offenses against God's law; forgiveness, against either divine or human law.

In Acts chapter 22, a man named Ananias, who was sent by the Lord, came to Paul and miraculously restored Paul's eyesight. Notice what Paul was told by Ananias what he must do. Acts 22:16, "And now why are you waiting? Arise, and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord." Paul was not saved three days earlier while on the road to Damascus. Paul up to this point was still lost, because he still had all his sins that needed to be washed away. Paul still had a sin problem. Obedience to the Lord's command to be baptized was necessary to wash away Paul's sins. Paul was baptized in Jesus Name and we know he recieved the Holy Ghost, who would argue that he lacked it? I thank my God I speak in tongues more than ye all.

There is no salvation outside of Acts 2:38. Remission of sins is ONLY accomplished by obedience to Acts 2:38! Remission means REMIT to be REMOVED not some other meaning.

How blessed we are to have a preacher of the Word with a backbone as stout as a saw log, to give us the only plan of salvation straight, without compromise, leaving us with no other option: it is John 3:5/Acts 2:38 obedience or eternal judgment.

Let that uncompromising preacher walk the isles with tears running down his face as he reaches for lost souls yet tearing away all other foundations leaving the poor sinner with no other hope but to obey the words given on the day of Pentecost.

Yes, it is holiness and obedience to the only plan of salvation or hell. How much my emotions quake and shake with uncontrollable weeping when I preach such a message, knowing the emense magnitude of such a message and also knowing that at that very moment someone has come to a crossroad in their life
and their decision often rests upon the spirit in which the message is delivered to that lost soul.

Yes, a preacher can hit them in their face like a baseball bat with the truth and they would still be without excuse at judgment, but where would that leave me in judgment. Justified? I wonder.

Paul said some very interesting things regarding the preaching of the gospel:

Phi 1:14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Phi 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
Phi 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
Phi 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
Phi 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Paul's love for the gospel superceded all else--even contention and wrong spirits--perhaps we can learn from him?

I was raised by good parents in another denomination. I tried to live right up until my young teenage years, but could not do it. When I found the truth of the Word of God, Acts 2:38 salvation, I no more had the problems I was having doing what was right. Oh, I still had difficulties from time to time, but nothing like before. No one can ever tell me there is another way of salvation. I know what God did for me!

I had been a Baptist, a Trinity Pentecostal, a Charismatic, and am now in the wondrous truth of the Word. Both parents were hurt in the Trinity Pentecostal church. My Dad is now an avowed Catholic, but does not go to Mass. Mom says she is a Christian, though she has not followed Acts 2:38. I have been hurt in almost every church I have ever been in, with the exception of the one I am presently in. I can thank the Lord for showing me the revelations He has, and that I shall never let go of true salvation as long as I live. I am indeed a One God, Apostolic, Jesus Name, Acts 2:38 believing, Holiness or Hell preacher, and a believer in the same.

It is the power of God unto salvation.

I never fail to be amazed looking back at the wonderful work God did in my life. Sometimes praying with folks, you just want to pour your Holy Ghost into them. If only it were that simple. Some walk away from the truth, justifying themselves rather than God.

The word of God is right. And if Jesus says we will not see the kingdom of God without being born again, I believe it. If Peter says we must have repentance, baptism in Jesus Name and the Holy Ghost, I believe it. If Jesus said unless you know that I am he, you will die in your sins, I believe it. Those that fall upon the Rock are broken, but those that do not are crushed by it.

Why wouldn't anybody want this glorious Jesus?

I, too, am most thankful for this truth and for those who have and are proclaiming it.

Where would I be w/o it?

It Takes Acts 2:38 Holiness or Hell Gun Barrrel Straight Preaching' and Godly Living To Be A Part Of The Bride Of Christ !

Do you think JESUS is coming back for a streetwalking hooker ?
Or a liar ?
Or a person that is not called by his name ?

He Is Coming Back For A Bride
Without Spot,
or wrinkle,
or any such thing !

Use the KJV ! It makes No Mistake or confuses forgivness with remission.

When it comes to my eternal security
I'd rather be safe
than SORRY.
