hi apostolic lady I'm not sure unless it could be that your internet connection may not be fast enough to play it. I have it set so that it should run smooth from 28k on up to dsl
Possibly you need to up date your windows media player or direct x... or maybe re start your computer.
I hope you will be able to get it working good for you.
God bless

WE ironed out the kinks and it is working fine!
Hello,
After transferring 50 win32 codecs to /usr/lib/win32/, it was kinda of nice to actually see video feed. Actually most of my codecs are native, it's just when you guys use that wmv9 or whatever it was that I must barrow files from windoze. hehe
For linux gurus: Microsoft licensed a company to port Windows Media Player 9 to linux. I don't understand why. Linux already has more than enough support already for multimedia. LOL
Linux is a worthy adversay to Windows
Bye
one more thing other than technical stuff,
It is wonderful that you brothers take the time to air the gospel onto the internet. This brother I see on video looks like you Brother Rutledge. Your doing an amazing job :)
Thanks for your work you and the others have done,
I know yall and others will be blessed of God for all the hard work
UPDATE: I can use my tv-card to capture 5 part series of Acts, David, Matthew, Daniel, Soloman, Abraham, Moses videos as high quality divx format and transfer them to Brother Atkinson for use on your video broadcast. I don't know about copyright issues, but it'd give me something to do. Think about it, "Apostolic TV". ;)

I am working very hard on cutting edge ideas that God keeps showing me in the vision for outreach in a ministry on the internet that will involve many origanizations and independant brothers and sisters. I do not have the full answer yet because it is all unfolding and on going.
As for as the video streaming goes, we are in the beginning of something that will grow as time goes on. I hope to meet with interested people in the near future who are interested in being a part of this with lots of information on what I have learned by trial and error. (mostly error)
Right now the I am using media encoder and streaming to a server that I have leased and streaming both live services and recorded video from a computer here in the church. It really is not all that complicated but it sure does seem like it before you know how to do it.
I don't know how to explain some of the things I am doing, but I will try to find out what I have done so I can tell you soon.
God bless

Bro. What does it cost you for your server to stream to, if you don't mind me asking? We've been looking at this for over a year now. What's held us up, is that we didn't want to pay for internet service just at the church. So the first step for us was to turn a old ware house behind the church into a parsonage. We are nearing completion on the pasonage now. It's 4,000 sq. ft. with 3,000 sq. ft of garage. We're down to the mudding and painting now.

Bro John Atkinson could help you with that info better than me. He found a good deal to get us started in on a server for the video streaming.
If you will send him a personal note I am sure he will be glad to share that information.

Thanks sis survivor
btw I really enjoyed your visit Sunday and was blessed so much by your song. I wanted to spend some time with you and had several things going on that distracted me when I talked with you at the end of the service. I hope you will return often and hopefully next time I won't be so preoccupied.
You are really a blessing when you visit us.

hello
kerux
I just now signed on after being away for several days.
We stream the messages using m3u playlist links.
First we use music match to change the audio to mp3. For preaching we usually use 16 kbps and the place those mp3 16kbps files on one of our servers that we use to host sites for the Apostolic network.
To make the m3u links I use winamp and drag the file from the website where it has been placed over to my windamp player. I save it to my desk top as an m3u playlist and give it a name. Then I drag that short cut from my desk top back to the web site and then place links to it on my preaching page.
If you need our hosting service which will enable you to have space on a server so that this will work, please get in touch with bro John Atkinson, and he will be glad to help you. You may also want to check our hosting site. http://www.anmhosting.net
God bless

An off topic question, is there somehting wrong with the apostolic.net email server? I have tried to email a few people ei) Bro Rutledge and and Bro Atkinson, and they all get kicked back at me, saying "relaying to <admin@apostolic.net> prohibited by administrator" and stuff about my ISP being not accepted by remote mail server.
Bro Rutledge thank you for your help, I need to reduce the kbps on my files haha, I um have been recording at 64kbps and higher Using DBpowerAMP music converter. i'm still at a loss with the m3u stuff, maybe when I get home from church tonight I can look over that again and see if I comprehend then.
I would love to be able to do the hosting with anmhosting but alas, I'm a poor lil boy haha.
Thanks again and Love You all in Christ,
Bro Trey Precht

Bro Rutledge I read somewhere on one of the threads that you used to life in Dawson Creek, BC. When was that?
BroRutledge
05-28-2003, 09:56 PM
hello sister Marie
Yes I was the pastor of the Park Hill Pentecostal Church in Dawson Creek back about 25 years ago.
It was my first attempt at pastoring. I really enjoyed the time I spent there and learned many valuble lessons.

That would be about the time that I first came in contact with the church in Nanaimo. My mother was there. I thought you looked familiar, did you ever preach in Nanaimo.
Brother James Bridges is there now. He used to be Pastor at Nanaimo after Brother Brand.
:nt: Hehe. I am off topic again!
BroRutledge
05-29-2003, 12:08 AM
Yes I visited Nanaimo when Bro Brand was there. I think I preached but I don't remember ... Bro Brand and I were in a difference of opinion discussion at the time, and I cannot remember if he allowed me to preach.... but I do remember being there and standing at the back of the Nanaimo Church discussing baptism with a group of people. Maybe you were there during that time. I also remember going out to eat in a resturant that seemed tropical while there and I enjoyed the ferry ride over to Nanamo from Vancouver.
Small world eh?
Marie
05-29-2003, 12:18 AM
Yes, and computers and internet make it even smaller!
BroRutledge
05-29-2003, 12:30 AM
Bro Brand was Pastor in Dawson Creek before I went to Dawson Creek. He moved to Nanamo as I was moving to Dawson Creek.
Are you still there on the island?

I am on the Island, I have been all over between here and Saskatoon. Right now I am in Courtenay.

I had a little issue with my video stream. Actually I messed with some settings and it stopped working.
Everything should be fine now.
I have just added lots of great video of outstanding music such as choirs from camp meetings, general conferences, because of the times, etc as well as some preaching. You can also watch our services live from the Norwich Tabernacle. This video plays 24/7 and I am constantly adding great video.
Keep checking it out and tell others.

Those mountains are beautiful up there. I loved to fish in some of the wilderness places when I lived there. It was great, but you had to watch for bears. They love fish too. Once I ran through the woods with a great catch of fish and lost them all because I thought a bear was chasing me.

LOL That's so funny! They are beautiful, but I have traveled back and forth through them to Alberta and I can never get used to the passes. Especially the Fraser Valley!
