Signs That One Is Ignoring God

Jeremiah 26:1-9


If I can go to church and get nothing out of church then it is a sign I am ignoring God.

If I can sit in church and say that the preacher is not talking about me, it mostly means I am ignoring God.

If I can sit there and think that the preacher is really talking about so and so today, I am trying to deflect what I should be hearing on to someone else.

If you got nothing at all, then you are choosing to ignore God because the Holy Ghost will lead you into truth about your life.

If I can leave church and do nothing with what I hear then I am choosing to ignore God.

If I know what my failing to act will do and I still chose not to act, then I am ignoring God.

If I attack the messenger because I don’t want to hear the message then I am choosing to ignore God.

If the Word of God doesn’t call me out from the crowd then I am choosing to ignore God.

If I give more value to the way I think than I give to God’s Word, then I am ignoring God.

what if He wanted you to be used
but you felt it better to refuse
what if He asked with His voice
but not caring was your choice
what if you heard the preaching
but Truth you were not seeking
what if you came without a vision
and leaving unchanged was your decision
what if the preacher preached to you
but turning from sin you would not do
what if you gave out praise
but your love was not raised
what if you sought His treasure
but only with a certain measure
what if your heart was so dim
you did not care to speak of him
what if you did not have tomorrow
would you then be facing sorrow

Amazing parallel isnt it? Kinda diffrent, but hey. lol

btw, you made good points in your post. I know times myself have done those very same things. As well as we all have at one time or another. Good post! ;)
