View Full Version : Seeking God's Will

I have been seeking after God's Will in my life lately, since I finally stop running from the calling God had placed on my life. One of the things I am needing prayer about, is that since I have accepted the call, my emotions have been enhanced to the max, not sure how to describe this, except maybe, when I am happy it is a utopian happy, and when I am sad it feels like all hell is on me. I'm having to pray more due to the fact that my emotions are not in check, emotions that I would rather not have, like jelousy and insecurity, these two I am praying will die soon.

Basically, I am asking for help to pray that I can get over my two little emotional problems; The Lords guidence for my ministry; and to know if the relationship I am now in (for the last month now) is totally in the Lords will, we both feel that we are in the Will, but we want God's perfect will not his permisive will. This has inspired a 40day fast, so that I can get His guidence and draw nigh unto Him, and hopefully hear from Him

I thank those that will pray for my issues, and fo rthose that don't, well, thanks anyway.

Hi Kerux! and Welcome to our humble abode, the GNC!

I will certainly add you to my prayer list. Sounds like you could use some ministerial advice, of which I am not!
Although I have a son your age, he also has a relationship (long distance) with a worldly (not apostolic OR anything) girl for like 2 yrs already, and thank GOD he's starting to see this is probably not the girl for him. He mentioned to me just yesterday he's starting to see (thank HG for showing him) that she is probaby not the one for him, I told him "GOD will provided you a wife in HIS time, and you'll know it"! He agreeed. Plus many others reasons being that other things must be in line with that as well, such as a career, which you ARE working on, so is my son.
GOOD!
I wish my son was as involved with ministering as you are.
I am impressed, you are an awesome vessel for the LORD to use!
I know you will be successful in any/every endeavor, my only word of caution is: don't rush in relationships, LOVE is an overpowering emotion. Attraction can be misleading. Takes up lots of your time, you already have many other priorities it seems.
I am speaking from my own mistakes.
Prioritizing is essential, I just wish I'd had someone to counsel me or mentor me when I was a teen. Oh well.
Your'e in the right direction right now, keep up that momentum, let nothing or no one stop you! You're young, having plenty of time for GOD'S timing to 'kick in' as regards that 'love' thing.
LOVING & living for GOD is a 'career' in itself!
I'll be praying for you, brother-BTW, Love your site! Great materials!
