1 Corinthians 14:-17

hello everyone i had a question regurding a scripture..as i was doing some studying i came across 1 corinthians14-17 and paul was in verse 17 that christ sent him not to baptize...so am like well its i know its right to get baptized but bro paul is stateing that god did not send him to baptize but to preach..so i just wanted some feedback from the scripture...

Okay could you give the chapter for that.I looked up chapter fourteen verse seventeen and it does not say that.lv sis.c

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

He wasn't saying that baptism was not an issue.What he was doing in this verse is trying to admonish a dispute.Understand that the epistles were letters to the church just as your dear dad would write things of instruction to you or call you on the phone and communicate knowledge.Paul considered the saints his spiritual children.He said he was glad that he had no part in them because of the childishness of the dispute.They were doing the Who is greatest among us thing.lv sis.c

i aplolagize saints wasnt trying to correct no one..am a apostolic just like you am just one who is seeking and studying scriptures..am trying to get a understand..i just dont wanna belive anything...
