I have moved over direct links to today's active threads in the open discussion forum, with the exception of the ladies hair/skirts threads as I mentioned before.
On issues regarding ladies dress I would prefer that these be discussed in the ladies forum, moderated by Sis. Cooper.
The remaining Archives may be viewed here:
GNC ARCHIVE (http://www.apostolic.net/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi?pg=topics)
If you choose to link to a post or thread in any discussions here, you may do so.
Thank You all for putting up with us during these changes! I believe the Good News Café will be a much better place because of it!

You first must be a lady, though I am certain one day some guy in drag will sneak in. Then you ask, and you are upgraded!
Which you are now!
Enjoy!!!

Sister Pam,
I have found these statements by you in the archive and have to wonder about something you have spoken. I will highlight it by leaving a great space between the section in question.

This flesh is a veil. It is beyond that veil
that we are able to experience the presence of God.
I dont know about all this "metaphysical stuff".
What I do know is the Bible. I don't think it would be wise to get into things for it takes us out of the Bible and into other areas that are speculative.
What we do know is that there is a spiritual realm than some can see into and some cannot. Elisha prayed that his servant'e eyes would be opened to the spiritual forces coming to their aid.

Here is what you said and I question!
Angels would appear to people who were spiritually attuned to see them, or whose eyes were not "holden". Even Balaam's donkey could see the angel standing in the way, but Balaam could not.
Angels are the spirits of the just who have gone back to be a part of God.( can you please back this up with scripture!!! It would seem that there where angels before the creation of man so this is proved false from Genesis!!!!!)
That is why people seeing an angel, as in the case of Manoah, could say, I saw God face to face, because they recognized that it was a manifestation of God. Not a "theophany", but a manifestation of God through the spirit.

We are joined to the Lord, His spirit being in us. And when we die, we who are connected to Him will arrive at the same place as others who have gone before us; we will catch up to them. We don't hold them back from their resurrection. They are already there.
When Jesus said that John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah, and that to those who received him it was Elijah, its because Elijah was alive unto God in the Holy Ghost. Just as the spirit of Elijah rested on Elisha, it also rested on John the Baptist.
I think that a greater knowledge of the spiritual realm, of death and the resurrection would shake the church.
Adoniyah, can we move on please?

Thank you for answering,

Well, Tim, what has prompted you to dig into old conversations. Do I demand that much of your attention?
I do have enough to tackle with the gathered unto Jesus thread.

Hi Sis Pam,
I don't understand why you are upset by someone going and reading the archives. I would like to do that myself if I can ever find the time. In any case, I would also like to know if you are saying that angels are the spirits of those who have died and been resurrected. If this is what you are saying could you please tell me what scripture(s) you are basing this on? I am not asking you this because Bro. Tim asked you, but because I very much want to know myself.

Sis Martha, it just seems to me a bit tedious. That he would have to go into the archives to find something for me to answer to.

Sis Pam,
Has it occured to you that maybe Tim didn't go to the archives "to find something for you to answer, but maybe he just went there to read the discussions. In all of our discussions, I don't recall you ever saying before that you thought "Angels are the spirits of the just who have gone back to be a part of God". If I had come across that, I would have surely wanted you to explain it. In fact that is exactly what happened. I was just starting to read the posts here and came across Tim's post. I didn't even know what was on this thread. In any case, I would still like for you to answer my questions. Do you believe the above statement and what scripture(s) do you base this belief upon.
In Jesus name,
Sis Martha

Bro. John,
I had the same thing to happen. I would like to know what I am doing wrong, too?
Thanks a lot.

Wow! Lots of good topics there! I had to chuckle when I saw saw one titled "they are just harmles geese" or something like that. Haven't read it yet, but intend to. lol Have you ever met a goose personally? LOL They have a wicked bite! My sister found that out when she was young and we were visiting my uncles. We were told that we could visit the ducks, chickens and turkeys, but STAY AWAY FROM THE GOOSE! You guessed it, she decided to check out that forbidden goose. He looked as harmless as the rest. She found out real quick that he wasn't! LOL She was always the adventurous one or as we called her, the brave one. The rest of us just watched. After that we made a BIG circle around and away from that goose, as quick as we could, every time he came around! LOL
