" The Revelation of the Father "
Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
There is revelation of the Father that can only come through JESUS
Joh 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
JESUS was saying I do what I do because the Father does what HE does
Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
When JESUS said GOD was HIS Father the Jews saw HIM claiming equality with GOD
Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Here JESUS starts putting it into perspective . JESUS was saying I see a part of GOD that you do not see JESUS was bringing the invisible works of GOD into the visible and carrying out what the Father was doing
Joh 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
The love relationship was the SPIRIT of GOD living through the SON and JESUS knew that there were many other things that were going to be done through HIM
Joh 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
JESUS once again announces HIS equality in perspective
Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
JESUS said in one place " The Father sent not HIS SON into the world to comdemn the world .... " . So the judgement here was not a condemning but in John 1 it says " JESUS did knew what was in man "
How did HE know ? because HE was human ? No , HE knew because the Father revealed
Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
This is the purpose of judgement given to the SON . So that people would learn to honor the visible GOD as well
as the invisible
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
This is the most vital piece of what salvation is all about
Hearing ( understanding the word made flesh ) and believing that same word . JESUS said if this was the case in your life that everlasting life would be your possession .
How is it that powerful ? because when you accept JESUS CHRIST as GOD in the flesh you are believing that HE will save you from condemnation and this will pass you from death to life
Joh 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
Where and when does this happen ? when you hear the voice of the SON of GOD
This is what eternal life is all about -- the voice within
Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
Eveything the invible possessed so did the visible but it was given because GOD had never become a man before HE gave HIMSELF as JESUS CHRIST
Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
JESUS possessed the authority of the Father to judge because not only was HE the image and likeness of GOD but also was the image and likeness of man
HE knows all about GOD and all about you and I
Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
HIS voice is so powewrful that it is ressurecting to the good and evil one to life and the other to damnation
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
JESUS always said HE was not there doing HIS own will but was carrying out the will of GOD HIMSELF
Coming to the Father
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Joh 14:4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
JESUS was saying I'm going to the Father and you know the way I go to HIM
Joh 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Where is the Father ? How can we go there ?
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
JESUS did not say I am the way to heaven , HE said I am the way to the Father
The truth of the Father and the Life of the Father
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Not onlt did JESUS proclaim HIS mission but HE went as far as to say you're looking at the mission and the person of the Father to know and see
Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Philip wanted to see the Father after all this is what JESUS kept saying HE was all about
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
JESUS asks a question now Yet hast thou not known me ?
HIS answer and response are awesome not only am I doing the will of the Father but I am revealing HIM in this flesh that you see
Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works
The Father's work was to speak through the SON
Joh 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
The main thing for you to believe is the word that GOD spoke through the SON because the SON had one mission to reveal and live out the plan of the Father
