We're always be more convinced by what we discover than by what others have found.

Go from being dependent on others to being dependent on God. He is the source of our direction. Yet too many people base what they believe, do and say on what others believe, do and say.
Revelation is only revelation when it's your revelation. God is best known by revelation, not explanation.

Obviously, God uses ministers, preachers, pastors, ie.
to speak truth into our lives. But it is not enough that what they say is right. Faith only works when we believe it for ourselves and place a demand on it. If another person's faith can't gain your entrance to heaven, it can not gain your destiny either.

There are two kinds of unwise people; One says, "This is old, therefore it is good." The other says, "This is new , therefore it is better." Do not attempt something unless
we are sure of it ourselves, but do not abandon it because someone else is not sure of you.

The most important convictions in our lives cannot be reached in the word of another.

just sharing my 2 cents worth of good thoughts......

An old saying, "When I was young, I was sure of everything, in a few years, having been mistaken a thousand times, I was not half so sure of most things as I was before; at present, I am hardly sure of anything but what God has revealed to me."

Go from knowing what others believe to knowing what you believe.
"Who said it?" is an important question to ask everything we believe.
Do we risk enough to exercise our faith in God?

food for thoughts...

When I read your posts this thought came to mind,

"You have the Holy Ghost? Good! But does the Holy Ghost have you?"

Therein lies a vast difference, i'm guessing. We claim, name, bind, you name it, all in the name of Jesus, all in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is a different thing altogether when we let His spirit get a hold of us though.

Your posts also brought to mind a few verses that have encouraged me whenever I feel immaturity in my walk with God. Young may be my age, however, I pray that my spirit will always strive to mature in His Word and in His ways.....

Psalms 37:25 - I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
