Please remember Al (husband) in your prayers. He had a doctors appointment last Wednesday because of having what seemed to be heart pains, and they hospitalized him immediately, doing a heart catheter Friday morning, finding the main arterie to the heart 95% blocked, and doing an emergency by pass that afternoon, not wanting to wait because of the danger of his having a heart attack, which he had not had. He is dong excellent, getting out of the hospital miraculously Tuesday, our returning home yesterday from Columbia, MO which is where he was at, which is about 230 miles from where we live. I wanted so much to ask you all to pray for him along with those that were doing so that day, but had no way of doing so until now. But please keep him in your prayers that he continue to recover as he is doing so far.

Sister Cooper,
I sure do appreciate your prayers for him. He is doing really well. Has very little pain now, and has mostly stopped the pain meds. they gave him, praise the Lord. Which is good, because my son in law said he had heard that particular one was highly addictive if continued for any length of time that is. But Al is not one to take something like that to begin with, if not needed. Of course, he isn't running any races yet, but is getting around good, the incisions in the chest and leg healing well. He has a follow up appointment on June 9th.
By the way, Al is a disabled veteran, so this was done in the VA hospital in Columbia, Mo. Which is an excellent hospital. It did not used to be, but about 10 years ago they began to change because of having many problems there. And it is not the same today at all. The University Hospital is also across the street, and both of these work together. One of Als doctors was from the Univ. hospital. So, unlike many, we do not have the worry of having to pay anything for all of this. I just thought I would add this info, as it is definitely a blessing to receive the best of care, yet not have to try to figure out how to pay for it as well.
Also, that is where my daughters family live, so we were not alone or without others to pray immediately during this time either. In fact, when they took him to surgery straight from having the heart Catheter done, I went to the ward where he was before to get his things, and while in there my son in law called asking about him, so I did not even have to make any calls to let anyone know, as he did it all for me, family and friends praying and showing up soon after. Which was the Lord, because I was only in there for a few minutes. And my first thoughts were to get others praying with us in agreement.
So again, thanks you so very much for all of your prayers.
We are praying for your new work too, believing that many will be brought in as a result of what you and your husband are doing sister. And that God pours out his blessing upon you as well.

Hi Marie,
He is doing very good so far.
The new work is slow. But we live in a very small community, plus it is a very religious type of community as well, many set in their ways. Which may be the reason their is no Apostolic work here to begin with. But we expected this was going to first require a lot of prayer and fasting, and patience.
