I know that there are some old time committed apostolic preachers out there. Those who still believe in an hour of prayer before church...or more. Those who still call total church fasts.
Those who still believe in all night prayer. Those who still preach in spite of how big the offerring is.Those who still get a tomato or two thrown at them.Howbeit nowadays its a different type tomato. Those who still get persecuted for righteousness sake. Those who still feel that the call of God is more important than a worldly career and haven't just taken that call and made it fit a worldly mold?????Speak up this is your soap box.Climb on up and preach it straight!

Yes there are still many out there like that – but they are dwindling quickly…
I am pleasured to know just a few, and it is such a Blessing to be able to spend time with them.
With 1 of the Elders I will be doing a 7 day fast with so that we may draw closer to the Lord and be able to minister together in a few services together.
I so enjoy spending time with an Elder – there is nothing quite like it.
The commitment that these men have is overwhelming.
Bro. Robert Norris who is over 80 yrs still reads his Bible at least 2 to 3 times a Year.
And don’t think he can do that because he has nothing else to do – He spends many hours a day still studying the Word both in the English & Greek Text. He is such a wonderful Man of God.

Well, about a year ago, my pastor called a 30 day church fast. And even though it was a 6am-6pm fast....30 days of such was rough on the ole flesh. But the results made it all worth while! Just don't give him any ideas though ok? ;)

There is no other way to be successful in pastoral ministry without what you call the old time way. I prefer to call it the biblical way. I was blessed to be developed in ministry by Pastor William L. Bonner of Greater Refuge Temple in New York and Pastor Rufus Hargrove of Greater Refuge Church in Henderson, NC. Both pastors emphazised to me the importance of preaching the whole gospel, standing on the word, treating people right and fasting and prayer. In 1995, after serving Pastor Hargrove for six years as an assistant pastor, our church planted a ministry in Burlington, NC. After fasting and prayer, we were blessed with a church building that was completely furnished and ready for worship. We opened the church with eight people. Eventually, I was sent to pastor this small and young congregation. In 7 and 1/2 years our church has grown to a congregation of about 150 people. Souls are being saved and God is doing great things. I attribute this growth to God via fasting and prayer and simplicity of gospel preaching through the power of the Holy Ghost.

His Name is Jesus!
"Yet I have left ME seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have NOT bowed down unto Ba-al. and every mouth which has NOT kissed him."
Church, don't you doubt for a minute that the Lord has no men in this place; and if there is any lacking, HE is well able to lift up more men that will obey His will.

His NAME is Jesus!
Well, I like to believe that I am an old-time, commited preacher. Sometimes, however, I just feel that I am an old, time-committed preacher!
It's the Gospel, Church!

yes!!! There are defiently a few still here. My Pastor John Padgett is an awesome Pastor who still stands by the word of God.
I am so Thankful that God has put me in New Life Pentecostal Church (Enterprise Al) for Pastor Padgett is a man of God. He is also the Watchman on the Wall. I am thankful for truth for without is we would die.
I am thankfull that I have been baptized in Jesus name and spoke in tounges when the Holy Ghost came. Sunday May 9th I will be 11 yrs old in Christ and I am thankful everday for the Love and Faithfulness of God. And Thankfull that I have a Pastor that still beleives in fasting and Intercessory prayer. For there are so many denomanations that don't believe in baptism and who Jesus is and the Plan of Salvation. and that fasting is nessasary. My cousin goes to a Baptist church and they don't believe and also they don't beleive in tounges...How sad to go to a church were Truth ain't preached. The baptist were my cousin goes also don't beleive in Backsliders so then they don't have intercessory prayer for they beleive in OSAS and that is a lie from Satan.
My Pastors says he don't look at the numbers he looks at who is Faithfull in coming to prayer 30 min before service and who comes to morning prayer and Intercessory prayer on Tues night. My Pastor has a strong burden for people to be saved and the backsliders to come b
