I am grilling up a Filet Mignon, new potatoes baked on the side drizzled in butter and herbs along with steamed snow peas.

Oh Come on, you've never had breakfast for dinner??

Last night I made enchiladas with a verde sauce from scratch and a strawberry cheesecake......so I'm still cleaning up the kitchen from last night. Henceforth, I'm not too interested in cooking tonight.....

I lo-o-v-e IHOP, too bad all that food is bad for me, and very fattening, although delish! Their pancakes, those different flavored syrups, are my favorite!
BUT, tonight I'm thinking 'Jason's Deli'! They have the best roast beef sandwich, my husband always says :yeah: when I suggest it!

Oh Good, a food thread! :D

Tonight I ate out, and had a ribeye, baked potatoe. Today is payday! :)

Last night I had to run through Taco Bell for the kids, I had to attend an awards banquet.

Night before that though, I cooked and we had grilled Salmon and roasted new potatoes, zuccinni, baby carrots, onions.. with butter and herbs,

I like breakfast foods anytime, but I don't like the sweet stuff. I don't like pancakes. My kids beg me to make them, but I can't understand wanting to eat fried batter with syrup. What nutritional value do they have, it will just make your sugar level soar. Everytime I have eaten pancakes, I have stopped in the middle of eating them, and said these are not worth the calories.
Tons of people must love them though, cause all the IHOP's I have seen are usually busy.

Heres what you do Forever.Go and get Arrowwood Mills whole grain or whole wheat pancake mix and buy them real maple syrup or organic syrup. Then you know you are doing the best for them.Or let them top them with fresh fruit and whip creme.I love peach pancakes. But I like real syrup not cheap sugar syrup.Oh yeah and this is one of the times I eat real butter. Not fake margerine etc.But real delicous butter.
to post to the post:
I fixed a loaf of home baked ten grain bread.
Butter beans
Brown Rice
Smothered Fresh Made Chicken Jalapeno Sausage and onion gravy.
Salad etc.
For a later snack I made fresh smoothies with blackberries(just picked) and bananas.
YUM YUM
but as for the Salmon Dinner I would have traded.I love Salmon anytime.sis.c

Sister Cooper,

Do you use butter as opposed to the low fat spreads? I personally use butter because of the trans fat in the spreads. Just wondered what ya thought!

I have been as of late melting one stick of butter(you can buy organic by the way) and adding one cup of light olive oil.I buy the really blond kind as first press or dark green sends you to the restroom as soon as its consumed.Anyway this is what I like for spread.Otherwise I use real butter.I don't use much so I feel no guilt over all the hoopla about animal fat.Besides I have a problem putting something on my toast that has unpronouncable things in it.lv sis.c

Last night I made bacon, scrambled eggs, and french toast topped with butter and powdered sugar. Even though I was making french toast, my husband still wanted scrambled eggs.

Tonight, we will have chili that my husband made on Tues. night. Leftovers! Yay! He makes the absolute best chili I have ever tasted in my life! It's sooooo good! I will probably make some garlic french bread with butter, olive oil, parm cheese and oregano to go with it. I'm getting hungry already!

Man! I just can't resist these food & eating threads. :D

For supper I had.....

Boneless centre cut pork loin cutlets seared in a little olive oil with salt and freshly ground pepper. I added two sliced up onions and sauteed those until they started to caramelize........then added a bunch of sliced fresh mushrooms........let them cook a bit and then added a lid to let the cutlets finish cooking.

Sweet potato cooked in the microwave. peeled and mashed with some "real" butter, salt and more fresh ground black pepper.

Green beans out of the can .... heated through served with a little garlic salt, butter and bacon bits.

Pretty simple - a little rustic - but a whole lot delicious. :p

For dessert........coffee with mini caramel & cinnamon filled streusel topped muffins.

Well, tonight I made Chicken and French cut frozen beans(Atkins diet). Tomorrow it's beef stir fry. I have the best, carb rich recipe that's a must. It's a tater tot hotdish I made up. Here it is...a little bit of milk(maybe 1/8C) a pinch of cayenne pepper, a pinch of paprika. Mix all three in a baking dish. Then add 1 pkg of frozen mixed veggies and a half a bag of shredded cheeze(any kind). Mix all those together. I forgot to mention to make your tater tots before hand according to pkg directions, but make sure they are still hot when u put them with the rest of the hotdish. Cover the veggie/Cheeze mixture with hot tater tots. Cover entire dish with the other 1/2 of the cheeze bag. Put in pre-heated oven, oh, about 250-300or so, until all the cheeze is melted, and the middle is hot. My husband loved this dish until we went on Atkins diet:(

I have to say that we had hotdogs and chips tonight. But, look out for tomorrow at my work:banana: I asked my boss if he'd like to have some lunch tomorrow and he said yes!!!:) I asked what would you like and he said anything you make I'll love. So, on my last trip to LA (Sis. Cooper's house) I had to go to the Cajun Store and boy are we going to eat good tomorrow. We're having stuffed pork chops, rice pilaf, maque-choux (corn, onions, rotel tomatoes), italian green beans and a blackberry cobbler. Yum Yum:banana:  If you're reading this ladylovestruth, I haven't started my diet yet but, it will come in Feb.:o
