So many people are trying to find answers in so many places. If we would all spend time in sincere prayer to the Lord we would not have to spend so much time searching for answers.
We would have more time to rejoice about how prayer made a difference.

Thats it Bro Rutledge. Only though prayer will we find the will of God. Through prayer our relationship with him will be nourished and allowed to grow. Therefore our faith will grow and we will realize " There is nothing IMPOSSIBLE with our Lord.
Prayer is such a special place to go.
You know what amazes me is when the Lord answers before I have really had time to pray about it sometimes. I may say to someone we will pray and God will answer. Before we prayed he answered. :) He knows our need before we do.. Oh how I love him......God Bless you all

I agree totally with what has been posted on this subject I know in my own life of late that without prayer from my brothers and sisters in the Lord I would not be where I am this morning rejoicing in the goodness of Jesus and in victory I have spent many hours in prayer of late and Jesus is a God who answers prayer and He will never fail us or let us down It is us who fail Him not the other way around God bless
In Jesus name!

Prayer absolutely changes things.I agree with the post.I ask prayer for my son and his family a few days ago and God is working it out in a big way.I don't know how all will turn out but our Master Jesus Christ does.Trust is the place where I pitch my tent.lv sis.c
Praise the Lord everyone.
Some of you may know, I am starting a church in the town of Harrisonville, MO. This town is about 9,000 souls with no Apostolic church. The nearest one is about 30 miles.
As part of one of our first outreach endeavors, I am holding a revival over the weekend of Pentecost Sunday, June 6-8 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
We have rented out a building for these three days. The first night will be Bro John Arcovio (www.spiritled.org) and the second and third night will be Bro Shane West (www.shanewest.com).
We anticipate a great move of God. As of now, we are not having services. I'm just teaching as many Bible Studies as I can and praying that God opens doors.
I plan to first establish a "Home Friendship Group" in our home. The next step after that is to establish weekly services. So, the June revival will be our first "people gathering event".
We are covering the entire town with fliers, each home gets 2 flliers over a month period before the revival. We are also covering two neighboring towns that do not have any apostolic church with fliers. I'm also placing an ad in the local paper and we are inviting everyone that we know.
Here is my prayer request. I'm forming a 30 day fasting chain 30 days before the revival. We are finding 30 people who will fast one day from May 5th until June 5th. Also, we're forming a 48 hour prayer chain from 5 p.m. Wednesday night until 5 p.m. Friday evening. We will need people to sign up for a prayer time.
Please be in prayer that God will pour out His Spirit in a mighty way and all of our needs will be met.
God bless!

Bro.Bill that is right in order for revival. Why not 40 days? 40 is scriptural.Just wondering.Remember we started the church here with a care group in our house. You are well on your way.By the way I have read several books by John Arcovio. He was one of the ministers who traveled with Bro.Cole to Ethiopia.
One of our pastors over the years Bro.Jim Vanover thought alot of Bro.Arcovio
I think it is great that he is ministering there.Too bad you did not have a tent to have meetings in.Boy did we get some attention with that tent.
God bless you I will keep you in prayer for these meetings.lv sis.c

A preacher once said that we as christian need to practice the exercise "knee-bow" with more vigor because it is down on our knees we will find the answers to all our problems.

I am a believer in prayer....................
Sis Cooper,
I like your idea of 40 days better! I never thought of that.
As to the tent, I spoke with Brother Arcovio personally and he gave me some insight into having a tent revival. It tends to attract people who may have an aversion to churches but won't follow you when you move to a regular service or won't commit. I just thought for us, with renting a building, we may have a better turn out with people not having to fight the misquito's and the heat. Anyway, I appreciate your prayers. Yes Brother Arvocio is a great man of God. There are not many men whom I have personally met that I can tell right off that they are men of prayer, but Bro Arcovio is one of them. He operates in the gifts of working of miracles and the gifts of faith and prophesy. We are praying for God to move in a mighty way. In his "How To Prepare for a Holy Ghost Cursade" video, he has actual footage of a man getting up out of a wheelchair and walking. The power of God is so strong at times, it'll make you weep for joy. It's really good, and it contains great insights into how to prepare (spiritually) for even a local revival in a church.
Thanks for your prayers and God bless!

Wow Bro.Bill,
I did not know about the video.I guess I have to keep up huh?
We actually gained people from the tent revival. But we did keep it up for allmost a month. The difference I think is that it was our revival not a visiting preacher working independantly from the church.Because you can keep the tent up until you get a building and use it for services to continue I like it.The thing about it is to
spray around and on the floor before services with Yard Guard.
Then get what is called a Squirrils cage.A type of blower unit that keeps a tent cool. Also I kept a table with a large container of ice water and lemonade. There are some people who actually will only go to tents altogether. We used a portalet and had one of the brethren stay in a travel trailer during the revival.
Another thing we have done in the past is rent a high school auditorium and had a prophecy conference.People will come to that like crazy. We are in the midst now of our 40 day fast and prayer before we have communion on passover night. We choose this time because its when our Lord chose to have communion.
Though his was actually the night before because he was the lamb slain that day.lv sis.c
Sis Cooper,
A 30 day tent revival sounds good. We may do that as an evangelism effort once we get established. It's exciting to a church started.
Yes, get the video. It'll be a real blessing.
