I wanted to share what happened to us about an hour ago and maybe ask some of you to share neat things Jesus has done in your life.
It had not rained here for one and a half months. This is unusual for La because usually it rains all the time.So I shared on the cafe how we could really use it.Well it rained this am really hard.So hard that when we were coming in from grocery shopping I could barely see to keep the truck on the road. The fields were so hot that lots of mist was rising up out of the ground and the wind blowing it from the west caused it to blow a thick mist over the road.My two girls and I began to pray.I decided to stick out my hand and rebuke the wind.It immediatly stopped.Though the rain did not.My thirteen year old daughter said...MOM this is a great testimony of how the wind obeyed and Jesus helped us.Folks it was so bad we could not see at all and on each side of the road were large rice field drainage ditches. There was no way to pull over.I thank God for protecting us and rebuking the wind.lv sis.c

That is a great Ddc, I believe God gives us small miracles just so our kids can see him work on our behalf.
Promise not to laugh? I have one to share. My kids still remember this, and every so often will remind me of the miracle that God gave us. To them, and even to me that day, it was awesome.
In Michigan, we had an older car, it was about 10 years old, but it was paid for. We were riding home from the store, and a storm came up. It was pouring, and I was struggling to see. Right in the middle of our travels, the windshield wiper gave out on the driver side. I immediately pulled over on the side of the road. I couldn't see anything. We sat for about 10 min hoping that the rain would let up enough for me to get out and try to see what was wrong. It just continued to pour. I began to get worried, because we needed to get home, we had to get ready because our church choir was singing at a special function in the city, just a short time later.
I finally told the girls that we needed to pray, God cared about where we were, he knew that we needed to be faithful to our commitment to the choir. So we joined hands and began to pray a simple prayer, that whatever it took Lord, we needed his help.
Don't you know it, the passenger side windshield wiper jumped over and started cleaning the drivers side! LOL  I am dead serious. We all got quiet, and just a few seconds later I heard one of the girls pipe up and say "it's a miracle". Believe me, it was.
God is just too cool sometimes, he has such a sense of humor too!

Since everyone is talking about rain, it made me think of a couple of incidents. A few years ago, my daugher and I were driving home from a meeting at church. We had about a forty-five mile drive. There were tornados and severe thunderstorms forcast, and the sky was very dark and the wind was starting to blow. It looked like we were in for at the very least a downpour. We prayed and asked the Lord to hold off the storm because I hate to drive in the rain much less a severe thunderstorm. We had no sooner prayed when not one, but two beautiful rainbows appeared in the shy in front of us. I knew that was God letting us know that our prayer was answered. We made it home without a drop of rain falling. God is so good!
Another time it was for my son that God stopped the rain. As many of you know, my son is disabled, and can't walk very fast. There have been times he cannot walk at all. At the time, he was not moving very well at all, and had gone into a drugstore to look for a cane or a walker. I don't remember which, but while he was in the store it began to rain. It was pouring. We were in the car and thought "Oh, no, Tim will get drenched. Well, he came out of the store and stood under the awning, and just looked up and raised his hands up and said, "Jesus" the rain immediately became just a soft drizzle. He made it to the car with just a few drops of rain on his clothes. As soon as he shut the car door, the rain began pouring down again. All he had to say was "Jesus." What an awesome God he is, and yet he really is concerned with our smallest need. Thank you Jesus!

Okay I have got a good one. 2 years ago my husband's factory went on strike. I was not working outside the home at the time we were in debt up to our eyeballs. He was out of work for 3 weeks and 2 days. When you walk off a job you are ineligiable for any governmental help. Our kids had no insurance, we had no $.
Well I claimed that scripture in duet. about being blessed and at the end of the scripture it says you will borrow from noone but lend to many. Boy, you talk about standing on a scripture I lived on that one. People gave us money I am talking 100$ bills and grocerys. Our house payment was coming due and we had no money my husband was going to borrow the money from a friend I told him to wait over the weekend I felt like God would take care of it didn't know how but I really felt it strongly. Well our church took up an offering for us we recieved 745$ and our church only ran about 120 people on a good Sunday. Also a organization my husband belonged to took up 150$ and he even missed the meeting to go to a church function. So on Moday we had more than enough to pay our bills and when my husband went back to work we had over 100$ left over we lost nothing. My kids weren't sick at all. and my husband got his monthly medication in samples from the dr.

Halleluyah! To all the testimonies above! This morning I awoke to gusty winds, but now the skies are beatifully blue, large white clouds it is gorgeous (but hot) outside.!
I had those dreams again last night-about tornadoes., somehow I'm always surrounded by them, and do not get hurt! Amazing grace! God is so good, HE finds ways to let us know HE is always there for us!
Maybe that rain will move on over here Sis Cooper, we are not that far down the coast from you either!
I have had many of these type small 'miracles' too numerous to pen right now, and since I've gotta get on to work, I am at least inspired by all these testimonies! I did relate one of them on another past thread called "Miracles" about less than 2 mo. ago, ya'll remember that one!
Yes GOD still answers prayer, there is nothing too big or too small that HE cannot help us with, we must just ask HIM, and believing, we shall receive!!... and receive according to our measure of FAITH! I know to believe that GOD can do anything that we ask, and in HIS own way!
