I entitled this thread #2 because someone I think already had a prayer request with that title.
ANYWAY, PLEASE PLEASE Pray hard tonight, any and everyone for our neighborhood. There is an intense gang fight going on since July4th night...right across the street from us are gang members, their rivals are right across the street from my mother!! on the next street over from us! These people also sell drugs.
That night was awful., and it appears that tonight a while ago, they came back and shot at the house again!!
this time 1 bullet rickosheted back towards OUR house, and my hubby thinks it hit our '66FORD truck, its beautiful, has been restored but not completely!!There's something perhaps oil dripping out right now!
AND it could get worse as the cops said a while ago! I mean, it could rickoshet back into OUR HOUSE, hit a window or something, so we're staying out of the front part of the house tonight! My son is coming in any time now from out of town, hope he does not walk into something like that going on!
A few months ago, this happened. Its kinda ironic that both rivals live across the street from us and my parents
I just was considering going to talk to these neighbors and pray for them, see if they'll consider seeking GOD to help them out with this...one of them could get killed! I sure don't want to see that happen!
Satan is rampantly loose in this area...Again, please everyone pray FERVENTLY for us !!! I know that GOD has HIS hand on us all here, we're all baptized Apostolics, although sadly enough, my 2sons and hubby are not walking the walk! And yet, he's out there in the street right in the middle of all this bru-ha right now...his curiosity is bad! I'm calling for intense family prayer here very soon tonight when my son gets in!

Wow. Will be praying for you all, and for the others in the neighborhood too, as well as for these gang members to perhaps receive the Lord one day.
Living in such a small town, we sometimes forget what goes on at times in the cities anymore.

Thanks, Sandy, my son got in alright...and well, it looks like I and others have much work, like I've said before, in our very OWN neighborhoods/backyards, as it is! Pray that these people will be receptive to my efforts. Its risky going into satan's territory...but since I am affected by it, being right in the middle of it...I think I have the obligation to do so. GOD is with me, and if he is "..for me, who can be against me"...!! Amen, Hallelujah!
Maybe we should also pray that either one of these 'gangs' move away, for it seems the only other prerogative for these battles to die or go away. Innocent people can be hurt, I know both of the neighbors on either side of that house, and I've talked to them of the LORD, both...invited them to church, they have both not taken that invitation as of yet, although they might be persuaded NOW...as they are in direct line to be hurt. GOD works in mysterious ways, huh? To fit HIS purpose(s), HE is mighty!

Thanx Marie and Bro.Isaac!
Prayers of the 'saints' are powerful!
People of darkness sow bad repercussions. I pray for a miracle to resolve this nightmare. My mom says I have no business trying to contact these people, that they are dangerous. She does not understand the power of the HG...(she's trini and barely that).
What do ya'll think? I tell her that we must obey GOD's call to intervene for those in darkness and lost. Is there a limit? Am I crazy?

Sister, have you ever heard of "standing in the gap"? If you go to Jesus in their place, in intercession, you would probably do much more good than going over there at this time.
When I think of intercession, I think of a court room. There are times when a person cannot be in the court room to stand up for themselves, so they have someone stand in their place. I believe this is what we are doing when we intercede in prayer for someone. We are actually standing in their place before Jesus! When I am in intercessory prayer, often I can see my hands raised with the person or persons I am praying for, held up in my hands toward God. Or I will see them standing or kneeling before God with their hands raised. What an awesome thing it is to see and feel!
If God then opens the door for you to talk to them, go ahead, but be sure it is God or you can run into something you were not intended to! When God opens the door, you don't have to think of how you are going to approach them or what you will have to say, it will just happen. Before you know it you will be saying things you never planned on saying and wonder where it came from! LOL

Thanks, Marie...Yes I've found myself talking to persons saying things I would not have thought of myself!! Those moments when least expecting, GOD makes a way to say the right WORD.. Both my sons know one of those guys from way back in school years, and my husband is on a friendly enough manner with them. its tragic that they're not telling them about the LORD, though. That should be their desire, and perhaps, department, for I have zero connection with them guys. Their reasons for not doing so are known only to GOD. I've never directly spoken with their mother, whol lives there with them.,YET. I pray an opportunity will arise, that would HAVE to be something GOD would set up! I want to be found operating within God's schedule for my life, and others.
THere are unfortuneately many blood-bought saints not doing their job, when given an opportunity to help a lost soul...and I fear that their directly, then by their lives...It causes me some angst to realize that if one is not working WITH and for the LORD, then one is working against HIM. We are here for a reason, just as JESUS came NOT to condemn the world, we should also NOT, but Jesus came that the world through HIM might be saved. MIGHT. Many factors play into whether a said person will or won't be fed the message that heals/saves, 'saints' may be put in the path of someone, and like Johah, be found unwilling to help or minister. I am not msperfect either, and want to be willing to help in any way GOD leads! Hallelujah!
I thank you for your wise counsel, MARIE, you are a gem! :D
I'll remember those words regarding intervention, I need to focus on that more right now. We saints need each others counsel and partnership in prayer for so many precious lost souls, that should be the main priority for us to fellowship here.

Dear Sis. In the Name of Jesus I pray that our God will place His Holy Angels as a protective hedge about you as He did Elijah and that the eyes of each of those gang members will glimpse their awesome presence protecting and sheilding you and those you are fighting for in God. That you will be used as an intercessor for them also for the devil desires their destruction not their salvation. That the great love of God will flow through you to them and they will yield or move from there peaceably. Our God is willing and able!!!....Love Ya' in Jesus!!!...Cherokee

THANKS, CHEROKEE!
I was beginning to think that this thread had disappeared, we really need ALL the prayer warriors busy on this one, the other night they shot at that house again!
I see these guys hanging around at night, on the watch! And I feel sorry for them - (even though they have evil looks on their faces! ) its part of their mode; they serve satan. This situation I fear is going to get worse before it ever gets better, but I'm trying. GOD alone gives the final solution. HE knows all.
Their vendetta is not against "us" but someone(s) else., yet innocent victims/bystanders have been known to get hurt in other similar cases. GOD is for us, who can be against us!

Thanks Marie and all who are praying, GOD knows!
Now we have another impending situation and instead of starting a whole new thread, I will add this Urgent Prayer 3:
If you all have been keeping tabs on the weather channel, or news, a HURRICANE is headed this way!!
Please PRAY that it will change directions or dissipate. It looks like this whole GULF COAST will be affected, up to and including Louisiana! And we know that some members here live in those regions!!
Its like this every year, and my city has not had a major hurricane in over 20 yrs, BUT, this could be the one, I PRAY not! We are certainly not ready for one., (who ever is)? Having been through 2 of the most hardest ones in this area, when i was a teenager, its a very HEAVY HARDHITTING thing! Much damage is done., and if not from the hurricane itself, the tornado's that accompany it, or result from this turbulence.
PRAY PRAY PRAY, please!!!!!!!!!!

Correction on my prev. post, its not officially a hurricane YET, just a tropical storm, and hopefully it will stay that way!
In and of itself, a 'storm' of that nature (and tornado's) can still cause much damage, so we're not exactly in the clear either way, preparations all over town are being made. Stores are jam-packed with shoppers., etc. Prayers are still needed, please.

Well, its getting closer and closer, please keep praying for my city to not get too heavily hit!! We had a tree fall down on our lines the last big storm that came through (not nearly hurricane strength) and we were w/o electric for weeks! This type storm is much stronger, we're looking for someone to cut it down sometime tomorrow, its dry rotted, but huge. I really hate being w/o electricity!

For the benefit of those who do not visit the prayer room often, here's a repeat of ongoing prayer need., for Claudette to turn tail and run! Haha! As IF!
Seriously its on its way directly here, right above and below us! Winds of over 60mph, its a minimal hurricane/storm, but bad enough! There is a hurricane warning all up and down this coast., by this time tomorrow eve, I probably won't be on, it'll be wild all night long-prayers please!
I know this thread is not as interesting as debates, etc., but the body of CHRIST is supposed to be interested in other members well-being..I know many here could not care less about me, but my GOD does, at least, and well...any and all prayers are appreciated. ;)

Thanx, dear sisters Marie and BurningforJesus!!
It appears ya'lls prayers have been helping, for the winds here are not as bad as upper north of us, like Houston,TX., Galveston, Port O'Connor, etc. It has made landfall there. (Bro.Adoniyah, are you still with us)???
My faithful LORD has seen fit to push keep Claudette not so near here as had been broadcast, Hallelujah! So far we've gotten only 34mph winds, may be higher later tonight as it spins around back towards us, IF that happens., we've not gotten much rain either.
Keep praying the winds stay down, for our tree was never cut down all the way and is almost hitting right next to some power lines! Yikes!!

08-15-2003, 11:06 AM
Well, now tropical storm ERIKA is ready to strike us!!!!!
HELP!! It appears to be stronger, and moving faster than Claudette.
I was not even aware of this impending storm until a while ago, and listening to the weather channel, we are due to get the brunt of the winds here!
Please pray it will not be as hard on us., that once again it will divert elsewhere. Claudette's moving north of us was a clear answer to everyone's prayers, and we can do it again! Well, JESUS is the one who does it, of course. HE never fails!
We still have that tree to finish cutting down today, power lines on each side of it. The tree trimmer that was supposed to have done this for us, bailed out.
Thanks everyone in advance. GOD BLESS YOU!
