After reading an article at ninetyandnine.com (an apostolic webzine) on the current war/peace situation I wanted to know what other apostolics feel about the oncoming war. What are your feelings? Do you feel that the U.S is justified in going to war with Iraq? Or not? and Why?

God Bless,
JonUs

THIS was already covered in a thread called WAR! in the archives, you may oughta read some things there, although some threads do get revived, carried forward, or left as is.
Since this topic is everpresent in the news, it can't even be ignored, so-o, there may be more discussions on this as it [war] looms closer. MAY GOD HELP US!! and all those whom have family going out there, it must be scary for them.

Jesuspwns:

I served in Vietnam in 1966 and 67. I believe in peace. That is why I served. After the war is over in Iraq, you will be amazed at the sweet peace that will prevail.

When hell boils and the devil goes beserk, you gotta squelch it. Otherwise, there is no end to it.

There are two ways to keep the peace. First, let evil prevail and the righteous remain unseen and unheard. This is only a false peace. The other way is to war against the powers of evil and take the victory.

It is called the Judgment of Nations. God has always had a servant nation which he has called his "servant." God called Cyrus "my servant" though he was a wicked king of a wicked nation which was later destroyed also.

It is time for the Judgment of Nations. King Neb. of Babylon learned the hard way that God rules in the affairs of men, which he confessed after having his sanity returned to him after his seven years eathing grass as an ox.

Hell will boil up just so high and God will call for the Judgment of Nations. Then there is a peace that prevails. Let us learn true Righteousness.

I feel that Iraq has been thumbing her nose at the global community, for far too long. It seems, that the only nations that don't want us, to disarm Iraq, are those that are selling them weapons.

And while, I do not feel it is a good idea for our president to have his hands tied by the U.N., he has already been authorized by them [and the congress] to force Iraq to disarm.

In my opinion, half-time to this war was 12 years too long.

I do believe this nation and its leaders are doing what they need to do to protect this nation.

In so doing they will remove a dictator and get that nation on the right track.

We just need to keep praying.

Because the Lord said in the end days there would be wars and rumors of wars and pestlilences. As some of you may be aware of in Asis. People are dying of this unknown Pneumonia.

The trumped will be sounding soon!!

In His name!!

I agree with Bro. Rutledge and most of the other posters here. Though I would much rather have peace......we really had no other choice or we as a country would be a target for all the terrorists all the time. The reason Saddam and Bin Laden has been thumbing their noses at us, is because they believed we really wouldn't take care of business. We must show our strength, or we will always live in fear of another World Trade Center tragedy. Let us pray for our troops.......our President, and leaders......
