I have been praying for a long time that God would get me on day shift so I could start teaching home bible studies. A couple weeks ago I asked God for more of the Holy Ghost, a bigger blessing. He told me, "you don't need any more, you haven't used what you allready have!" I began to seek something to do and I feel like I got the answer the other day. I am starting a bible study class of coworkers next week. We will be meeting before work for one hour a week at a local waffle house. I have two signed up so far! I need prayer big time for boldness, wisdom, and effectiveness. This is a big step for me! I am real nervous. I also stoped by one of my old friends house today. Haven't seen him in close to three years. Him and his wife were my best friends at one time. But varying things caused us to drift apart. He greeted me warmly and chatted for an hour. He let me know before I could even invite him to church he would not come.
So I didn't mention it anymore. He spent the whole hour pouring out all his troubles! I just listened.
He has alot of troubles too. I could tell it meant alot to him to have someone to just listen to him. I will be visiting his wife in jail next week. He says she claims to be done with her alcoholism and is serving the Lord now. She gets out in a couple weeks and I hope to have rekindeled our friendship and teach her truth and get her coming to my church, ( the local prison ministry is not apostolic). I believe my friend will come if he sees a dramatic change in his wife, they seperated before she went to jail.
Any way I am excited and I am finally getting some boldness and seeing some things happening, pray for my friend Mike and His wife and for my newly emerging bible study class!
God bless, Bro. Jimmie
